The short version

findlio uses affiliate links. When you click a product link on this site and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never decides what we recommend. The verdicts on this site are ours; the commissions help us keep writing them.

Amazon Associates statement

findlio is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites (Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, etc.). As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

This statement is required by Amazon's Associates Program Operating Agreement and by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255).

How we make money

Affiliate commissions are our only revenue. We don't run display ads, we don't sell email lists, and we don't accept paid placements. When a reader buys something through one of our links, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale price — the reader's price is unchanged.

We participate in the Amazon Associates Program and may participate in other affiliate programs (for example with individual brand stores). Every retailer we link to is treated the same way: the link comes after the recommendation, not before.

What commissions don't change

They don't change which products make the list. They don't change the order we rank them. They don't change what we say about them. We pick first, then we link.

If two products are functionally interchangeable and one pays a higher commission, we'll still recommend the one we'd actually buy — and we'll tell you why in the verdict.

Cookies & tracking

Affiliate links use cookies set by the retailer (e.g. Amazon) to attribute the sale to us. We don't read those cookies; the retailer does. findlio itself uses minimal first-party analytics to understand which guides are being read — no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no resale of data.

If you'd rather not use our links, you can always search the product name on the retailer's site directly. Either way, your price is the same.

Frequently asked questions

Do I pay more if I use your links?

No — not a cent. Affiliate links route through a tracking parameter that tells the retailer you came from findlio. The price you pay is identical to going to the retailer directly. The retailer pays us a small commission out of their own margin.

Does taking a commission affect what you recommend?

It cannot, because we set the picks first and add the links second. Every product is chosen on its merits — verified buyer reviews, spec comparison, durability, and what it actually does for the person buying it. If a better product comes out tomorrow that pays us a smaller commission, we'll still recommend it.

Do brands pay you for placement?

No. We don't accept sponsored placements, paid reviews, or pay-for-position deals. We have never been paid by a brand to include — or exclude — a product. If we ever do accept sponsored content in the future, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored on the page.

Are these reviews written by AI?

No. Every verdict on findlio is written by a human after independent research. We use AI tools the way most editors do — to check our facts, surface comparable products, and clean up first drafts — but the recommendation, the reasoning, and the words you read are ours.

How often do you update your picks?

When a new product credibly beats our current pick, when a current pick becomes harder to buy, or when a known issue emerges. We try to revisit every active pick at least twice a year so the list doesn't go stale.

How do I report an error or out-of-date pick?

Email us at cad.bendy.bu@gmail.com. We take corrections seriously — if something on the site is wrong, we want to fix it, attribute the fix, and not pretend it didn't happen.

What data do you collect about me?

Only what's necessary to run the site. We don't sell or share data. The email you give us is used to send the newsletter and nothing else — unsubscribe with one click any time.
