No sunlight required. That's the first rule of a faux plant that actually works.
Real plants have requirements. Faux plants have a single requirement: not looking fake. The faux plant space on Amazon is mostly plastic foliage that fools nobody. These seven are the exception.
Grouped by placement: counters and desks, shelves and corners, statement spots.

Der Rose 28" Faux Areca Palm with Woven Basket

The Der Rose Areca Palm at CA$32.99 is the only floor-level option. 28 inches with a hand-woven basket included. Floor plants are harder to fake convincingly because they're at close range. The basket draws the eye before the plant does, which buys enough visual cover for the palm to work at a distance. 806 reviews at 4.1 stars.
- 28-inch height fills a floor corner without overwhelming it
- Hand-woven basket pot included — no DIY potting required
- Boho-leaning silhouette pairs with most decor palettes
How to make faux plants not look fake
The pot matters as much as the plant. A plastic stem in a cheap white pot looks fake. The same stem in a matte black, woven, or stone pot reads differently.
Group small plants rather than isolating them. One small faux plant on a shelf looks like a decoration. Three at different heights look like a choice.
Placement at or near natural light helps. The plant doesn't need it, but light near a faux plant makes the texture read more naturally.
The north-facing corner doesn't have to stay empty.
